To provide health related facilities to 1 crore people residing in Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme 2022 has been launched on Saturday, 26 December 2020 under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme by our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This scheme is also known as PM-Jai scheme. Under this scheme, residents of Jammu and Kashmir will be provided health insurance protection cover of up to 5 lakhs so that the poor people of the state can get their treatment easily. Jammu Kashmir Sehat Health Bima Yojana 2022
The benefit of this scheme will be provided to 1 crore beneficiaries of Jammu and Kashmir. Those who were not covered under the government-launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The Jammu Kashmir Health Insurance Scheme will also include those who are eligible on the basis of socioeconomic and caste census. The official shared that the government has decided to include beneficiaries in the scheme which is missing from SECC 2011. These people will be found as soon as possible and will be included in the scheme so that they can avail free health care. With the implementation of (PMJAY) Jammu Kashmir SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme 2022, people of Jammu and Kashmir will be provided free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh, so that the poor people of the state can easily get treatment for their biggest disease. This is an important step taken by the government to bring development in Jammu and Kashmir.
PMJAY SEHAT Health Insurance Scheme
Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the scheme on 26 December 2020. Under this scheme, all beneficiaries will be provided cashless health cover up to Rs 5,00,000. The full form of SEHAT is social, health efforts and telemedicine. The government is going to ensure smooth implementation of the Jammu Kashmir SEHAT Health Scheme 2022 (PMJAY). Eligible families of Jammu and Kashmir will be covered under this scheme.
JK Health insurance Scheme 2022 includes treatment procedures like ecology cardiology nephrology etc.
Along with these diseases, vaccination of COVID-19 will also be included under the scheme.
Eligibility and Documents for Application
Offline Application Process under Jammu Kashmir Sehat Health Bima Yojana
Interested beneficiaries of the state, who wish to apply under the Jammu and Kashmir Health Insurance Scheme, will have to visit their nearest CSC center and after going there they will have to ask for the application form. Receiving the application form, all the information sought for it has to be recorded and all its important documents have to be attached.
After attaching 10th Aadhaar, you have to submit this form in the same center. After submitting the form, you will be provided an e-card, using which you will be able to get your treatment done free of cost and get the benefit of this scheme. If you go to any hospital, you will have to take this e-card with you.
