The Asia Cup 2022 will be the fifteenth edition of the tournament and will be played between 6 nations. Sri Lanka is the host of the tournament. Sri Lanka was supposed to host the 2022 edition of the Asia Cup due to the COVID pandemic, the tournament has been postponed and moved to 2022.
It will be played in T20 format taking into account the 2022 T20 World Cup.

United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong are the 4 teams that will battle in the qualifying round. One team will get a place as sixth team in the 2022 Asian Cup.
2022 Asian Cup times
The exact schedule for the Asia Cup 2022 has yet to be announced by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). However, the tournament will start on August 27 with the opening match. The final will take place on 11 September. A total of 13 matches will take place during the tournament.
