NEET 2022: MBBS seats to increase across country, know details

According to the information given by the Union Health Minister, the seats will increase by 3,495 in the country. A maximum number of seats will be increased in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. According to the Health Minister, 600 seats will be increased in MP, while a total of 700 seats will be increased in Rajasthan. Apart from this, 550 seats in Karnataka, and 345 in Tamil Nadu. Students will get plenty of benefits from the increase in seats.

The government has said that at present there are 91,927 MBBS seats in all government and private medical colleges in the country. Out of these 48,012 seats are in government and 43,915 in private medical colleges. After this improvement, the seats will become even more. The ministry further said, 24,404 seats in medical colleges have been increased in the last five years. Along with this, the number of medical colleges has also increased and a total of 132 new medical colleges have been opened. The ministry has also said that these increased seats will be applicable from this year itself.

NEET 2022 was conducted across the country on July 17, 2022, and more than 17 lakh students from across the country participated in this examination. The result of this exam is also expected to be released soon
