Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is going to conduct Annual Regular exams of classes 10th,  11th and 12th in month of March for both Jammu region and Kashmir region with single Datesheet first time in history of Jammu and Kashmir.

As we all know, Recently Government successfully implemented National Educational Policies (NEP 2020) in Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. As per NEP All Annual regular Board exams will be conducted in month of March.

Before implementation of NEP 2020, Board was conducting exam of Jammu Division and Kashmir Division Seperately. In months of Oct and November Board was conducting Annual Regular exams in Kashmir Division and in Union territory of Ladakh and in months of February and March Board was conducting Annual Regular exams in Jammu Division.

First time, this year (session 2022-23) Board will conduct all Annual Regular exams in month of March in Soft Zones and in hard Zones exam will be in month of April. Now lot of students are confused what are the Hard Zones and Soft zones. I will clear this doubt in addition I will also give you Datesheet update and PDF list Hard Zone institutions issued by Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education.

Now Taking about Soft Zones and Hard Zones, Simply these are the region's separated by Board on the basis of climate and topography. In Jammu and Kashmir lot of  places receive very heavy snowfall and in these areas it is almost impossible to conduct exam in month of March eg Gurez, Machil etc.

So,  Board Decided to conduct to separate exams. First Board will conduct exam in soft zones of Union territory then in Hard Zones.

Talking about Datesheet, Board recently released Datesheets for classes 10th, 11th and 12th Annual Regular session 2022-23 for Soft zones. For Hard zones Board will
release separate Datesheet and it's expected Board will release Datesheet for hard zones in March most probably last week of March.
