Delhi Capitals wins bid for Kashmiri female cricketer Jasiya Akhter at ₹10 Lakh

Kashmiri ace female cricketer Jasiya Akhter is scheduled to play for Delhi Capitals after te Delhi club won the bid for the cricketer for Rs 10 Lakhs.

A resident of Braripora in Shopian district of south Kashmir, Jasiya’s purchase was confirmed by Delhi Capitals over their official twitter handle on Monday (February 13, 2023).

Two players from Jammu Kashmir—Jasiya Akhter and Sarla Devi—appear on the list of 409 cricketers who were sold at auction to five franchises on February 13.

Jasiya figures at serial 250 while Sarla is at serial 305 in the WPL auction list of players which was released on Tuesday.
