Amid rising prices the Jammu Kashmir administration has issued a rate list of vegetables and fruits.
Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs has fixed rates for vegetables & fruits to avoid overcharging.
The Department also said that strict action would be initiated against the violators of the rate list issued by the Jammu Kashmir admin.
As per official notification, In supersession of all previous notifications issued on the subject and in exercise of powers conferred upon Essential Commodities Act, 1955; 1, Dr. Abdul Salam Mir, Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Kashmir hereby revise and re-fix the maximum retail sale rate of Vegetables and Fruitls as shown against each item in Annexures to this Notification. The wholesale dealers are directed to issue proper invoice on spot for each transaction in favour of the retail buyers explicitly indicating therein the rate per Kg./dozen for each item.
