The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been mandated to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) by the Ministry of Education since 2019.
National Testing Agency has conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2023 for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) in two Sessions in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode as per the following schedule:-
i. B.E. /B. Tech.(Paper1): Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
ii. B. Arch.(Paper 2A): Mathematics-(Part I) and Aptitude Test-(Part II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode and Drawing Test –(Part III) in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode.
iii. B. Planning(Paper 2B): Mathematics-(Part I), Aptitude Test-(Part II) and Planning (Part
III) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode.
The Examination is being held in 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).
The Examination was conducted at 457 unique examination centres in 325 Cities [including 23 cities outside India in Manama, Brasilia, Toronto, Beijing, Paris, Berlin, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Kathmandu, Muscat, Oslo, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta, Vienna, Moscow, Port Louis/Reduit, and Bangkok].
